Lotte brings “The Rainwater harvesting and treatment system into drinking water” for Phuong Canh Kindergarten
(DNVN) - With the goal of saving water resources by taking advantage of rainwater, while improving the quality of drinking water for teachers and students, in the morning of August 29th, Lotte Company held an inauguration ceremony of “The Rainwater harvesting system and treatment into drinking water” at Phuong Canh Kindergarten School (Hanoi).
“The Rainwater harvesting system and treatment into drinking water” is a studied project by Professor Han Moo Young of Seoul National University. After the researching time, until July of 2019, Lotte Korea Company; Hanoi University of Construction; Green foundation; SNU National University, in collaboration with the project “The Rainwater harvesting system and treatment into drinking water” has chosen Phuong Canh Kindergarten school, to be implemented.
Only after 2 months of implementation, the project was put into use. Provide clean drinking water on site for teachers and students of the school. Especially, the building does not use any active or chemical ingredients in all water treatment process.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Kim Dong-bae, Korean Embassy said: “This is a very significant project for Vietnam - Korea cooperation. At the same time, it also provides clean water for teachers and students here. Not only that, when clean water is increasingly scarce, the project is one of the effective ways to save this valuable resource”.
The Korean ambassador also expected from these effects, the project would be expanded to many others locations in Vietnam.

Sharing more about the project, Professor Han Moo Young of Seoul National University said that: “Because of a lot of rain in Vietnam, if we have The Rainwater harvesting system and treatment into drinking water like this, there will be no worries about the shortage of clean water in the future. Moreover, I think Vietnamese politicians should come to see this project, its structure at is simple and compact but important impact in many citizens’s daily life. From there, it is possible to have the project’s implement extension to many people, to reduce the cost of purchasing clean water and contribute to protecting this endangered resource. Besides, only needs a good way of building and managing project, other big companies like Lotte Group would feel happy that their investment is effective and it is a meaningful works for the community. The others companies also do not hesitate to invest in projects that contribute benefit for the community like our project”.
